We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Suzette Nicholson, who performed the official switching on of our Christmas tree lights recently.

Our residents and staff had worked hard to decorate the tree in the preceding days so that it looked the best it possibly could before the big switching on.

During her visit, the Deputy Mayor also took some time to chat with residents and staff and joined us for a tasty Christmas buffet accompanied by some uplifting seasonal music to get everyone in the festive spirit.

“We are so grateful to Councillor Nicholson, for coming to see us at the home,” says our home manager, Margie Lopez Gonzaga. “She is incredibly busy, but so generous with her time, and her visit really meant a lot to our residents and staff.

“The festive season is all about connecting with friends, family and the community, not forgetting those who are alone at Christmas. If everyone did one good deed for one lonely person this Christmas, what a difference it would make!”
